Hi all!
I sent my manuscript to my editor for the second round of editing a week ago. As the manuscript rapidly approaches completion, I am starting to think about other things, like cover design.
While there's no set date for the cover design to be released yet, I anticipate sometime in February. (but expect teasers sooner!)
I've also been finalizing my synopsis and working on front/backmatter for the book. Do you guys care much about printed endpapers? I've seen it as a selling point for various books but I don't really see the appeal.
Without further ado, here's the synopsis!
What happens when the "chosen one" story that the gods told you suddenly collapses?
Isavna Belanis was a high school student on Earth until the night she was suddenly abducted by the deities of Avukena, a planet in a magical universe with highly advanced technology and plights of its own. Here, she is not a citizen. She is a political tool, a pawn, and a soldier in a war that isn’t hers to fight.
Isavna is forced into the service of her captor, Mother Everealm, the creator of Avukena, who is now engaged in a desperate battle against an opposing force of uncontrolled chaos, as powerful as her own. Now, Isavna must complete the herculean task of destroying evil for good by killing the chaos god Cavaris.
As Isavna and her found family grow closer to her mission of killing him, the illusion of a holy, righteous war begins to crack. The more she discovers about Mother Everealm's personal intentions, the more she feels repulsed at her role in it all.
As the wall fully crumbles, Isavna realizes that she is just a disposable pawn in the divine war, not a chosen one.
With her perception of the world collapsing and the true nature of the gods revealed, Isavna must decide whether to fight to the death for a universe that has stolen her life, let the tether die and become possessed by Cavaris himself, or find a third way to stop the tyrants on all sides.
There you have it! Let me know your thoughts below! Just a reminder that my prologue and first chapter will be released for free when finalized, exclusively to email subscribers (no junk mail, unsubscribe anytime!)
Thanks for stopping by!
