Hi everyone! Here's what I've been up to as the book gets close to the release on April 19th
Finalized the Cover
It took a lot of fixing and going back and forth between my computer and iPad to make sure my cover was pixel-perfect (literally. KDP wouldn't accept my cover if I was a single pixel off... Very infuriating).
In total, I spent about 118 hours designing and editing both covers. I made a tutorial on my YouTube channel if you want to learn how to do it yourself!
That's about 5 consecutive days, or about 15 8-hour work shifts. It honestly didn't feel like it, though. I don't know about you, but I always feel like I get tunnel vision when I zero in on a project. My lower back will never forgive me, though.
A LOT of Paperwork...
I spent almost my entire spring break working on paperwork for both KDP and IngramSpark. The process should have been quick, but being a minor, I had to keep asking my dad back and forth to get his information. We even had to visit the bank to open up a new account. It was one part of the publishing process that I will certainly not be missing.
Formatting the Manuscript
This is the last part I've been working on: formatting my manuscript in LibreOffice, since Google Docs can only do so much in terms of formatting. After this, I'll upload the final version to KDP and IngramSpark, order my proof copies, and then wait for the release date to roll around!
The official release is April 19, but the eBook is available for preorder now!
Thanks for reading!
